Adia Edmondson

Adia Edmondson (she/her) is a dancer and performing artist.

Adia has had diverse training opportunities working with choreographers/companies such as Jon Lehrer Dance Company, Omar Román de Jesús, PMT House of Dance, Jie-Hung Connie Shiau, Tiffanie Carson, Soul Dance Company, Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation, Alex Olivieri, Marta Renzi, Jorge “Pop Master Fabel” Pabon, and Shawn Bible.

She has also participated in international movement programming with JUNTOS Collective (Guatemala), WADE Dance (Barcelona and Italy), and Moulin/Belle (France). Adia continues to diversify and expand her movement practice by engaging in unique cross-cultural experiences and exploring the world of dance, while continuing to train in a variety of dance and fitness styles. Also, she has engaged in professional opportunities as an arts administrator, arts educator, and community engagement leader, and continues to be an advocate for inclusive, equitable, and transformative programming that supports communities in need.

Adia Edmondson has a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Dance & Theatre with a concentration in Dance Therapy and a minor in Studio Art and Psychology from Manhattanville University, as well as a Master’s degree (MS) in Arts Administration and Museum Leadership with a concentration in Arts Administration and a minor in Arts in Public Health from Drexel University. Starting in Fall 2025, she will be pursuing a Master’s degree (MA) in Teaching Dance in the Professions on the African Diaspora track at New York University.

Additionally, Adia has a 450-hour Pilates comprehensive certification from Drexel Pilates Studio (Philadelphia, PA) and currently teaches Pilates at various studios in New York City.
